Please note that from Wednesday 20th of November we will not be accepting donations of baby clothing or equipment at our office. This allows us to prepare for our Christmas Present Service. Donations can be made at our Baby Boutique on Great Junction Street or by calling our shop in Gorgie on 0131 346 7295. All items suitable for our Baby Bank Service will still be used for that service, it will just allow us to stagger how much comes in at any time and allow clients to collect items from our other locations. If you have any questions about what happens to items that are donated please email us

Our practical help service is dependent on donations to continue supplying families with the clothing and equipment they need for their children.

Here is a list of some of the things that we accept, including health and safety guidance related to each type of item. Please be aware that we cannot accept items that do not meet these specifications.

You can drop items off at our Baby Boutique on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays between 10am and 4.30pm or you can arrange collection of larger items by calling 0131 346 7295. If items are collected by the shop please remember that it is under the driver’s discretion.

Unfortunately, we simply cannot take items that are not suitable for the service.

We believe our clients deserve the best for their children, a good measure of whether we can accept an item is ‘would I be happy to receive this for my own child?’

We release monthly wishlists on our website and social media which details items or clothing sizes that we are low on. Check out the ‘News‘ section of our website for the latest list.

If you are not based in Edinburgh or the Lothians you can check our Baby Bank Map page for details of other similar services across the UK.
