Pregnancy Counselling & Care (Scotland)
Formerly known as ‘Lifeline’
Pregnancy Counselling & Care (Scotland) are a small, Edinburgh based charity working to support women & families in our community. To this end, we provide free, professional counselling for any pregnancy-related issue, and also support mothers living in hardship with clothes and equipment required for the care of their babies and small children. PCCS are unique in our ability to offer both these services for free and usually within a quick timescale.
Last year, we took the decision to change our name after 41 years of service to the community. Going forward as a professionally recognised counselling organisation we are keen to emphasise our fully independent and non-judgemental stance. We are not affiliated with any religious or political organisation. All clients are met with respect and empathy, as outlined by the COSCA guidelines.
We are obliged by the Advertising Standards Authority to state clearly that we do not refer directly for terminations, as we are not a medical facility. However, we are able to offer advice and information to support you in whatever decisions you make.
The PCCS office is closed between Friday 21st of December and Monday 7th of January. Find out where else you can get support during this time here.
