Can you believe it is Summer already? That means it is time for the Lifeline newsletter (full copy available here).

We are very pleased to welcome a couple of new staff and volunteers in this edition including our new Office Manager Clare McAteer. Clare replaced Trish Barry who left us in last 2014 and we are very happy to have her. Clare qualified as a counsellor in 2013 and since then has worked with a variety of people including at the PF Counselling Service and with young people in Fife.

We are also happy to welcome Katie, our new Tuesday counsellor, and Fiona who had previously worked as a counsellor with us and has now joined our Board. Welcome Katie and Fiona.

We have had a positive year for fundraising so far with a great response to a number of our grant proposals. We have also been doing our own fundraising with a hugely successful sponsored walk in April and plans for more events later in the year.

Speaking of the future – June 2016 will mark Lifeline’s 40th anniversary. We would love to find some people who were involved with Lifeline back at the start so if you know any past volunteers, staff or clients we would love you to get in touch with us. We will also be holding a number of events next year to celebrate so if you are interested in getting involved please get in touch with us.

Finally, we would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who has supported us recently including our amazing walkers, Cramond Kirk, the many knitting groups who work with us, all our volunteers and everyone who has made a donation to us. We really couldn’t keep doing our work without you.
